Re-entry Plan 2020-2021

May 6 2021 update

Dear Parents,

The government of Alberta announced that all K to 12 students across the province would transition to at-home learning for the period of May 7th with a return to class on May 25th.

To effectively transition students who were still attending school in person, school staff will prepare some assignments for May 7th.  This day will serve to communicate with students. Learning for students who had already made the transition will not be impacted. The lending of computers, following certain guidelines, will be available for students who demonstrate a need. Students with special needs can continue to attend school in person following consultation with the school principal. Schools will communicate with their families with additional information.

Our school will continue its excellent work with your children. We will continue to adapt to the evolving situation and we will keep you informed of any changes, as need be.

Daily reminders:

  • We ask you to screen your child for symptoms every morning.
  • We ask that you keep your child at home for the period prescribed by the Health Authorities if he or she:
    • has symptoms;
    • has been in close contact with someone with COVID-19;
    • is awaiting a test result for COVID-19;
    • has travelled abroad and is returning to Canada;
    • has tested positive for COVID-19 and the isolation period has not ended.
